Blockchain provides confidence that two ledgers, or sets of data, are identical, without third party validation. From that simple beginning, blockchains are changing the way that we think about security on the Internet, and disrupting industries from financial services to health care to supply chains.

Through this webinar you will learn where blockchain technology sits in the technical landscape; the main elements of blockchain's primary application, Bitcoin; and the blockchain lexicon (e.g. proof of work, smart contracts, public and private blockchains, use case). You will also be able to ask questions about the application of blockchain to industries and industrial supply chains, and hear about IEEE Blockchain Special Interest Group activities.
